Police received information on July 20 from Milford Hospital Staff stating that a woman who chose to remain anonymous had been sexually assaulted. The day after information was received, the female made her identity known and filed a compaint that she was assaulted by Jared Rohrig, 25, at his residence at 7 Flax Mill Lane in Milford.
The investigation led to a warrant for Rohrig. He is accused of using his twin brother's identity to engage in a sexual encounter with the victim. The victim said that during the encounter, she realized she was not with the person she thought she was and attempted to leave. At that point, Rohrig restrained her and continued the encounter against her will.
Rohrig was arrested and charged with sexual assault and criminal impersonation.
He is being held on $50,000 bond and is set to appear in court Sept. 8.
Rohrig has been on paid administrative leave since July 23.
